2026 Four-Star QB Brodie McWhorter Commits to West Virginia

NCAA Football: Kansas State at West Virginia

Neal Brown and the West Virginia Mountaineers landed their quarterback of the future on Monday with the addition of four-star quarterback Brodie McWhorter.

McWhorter, a 6-foot-2 quarterback from Georgia, chose the Mountaineers over offers from 25 different programs, including Georgia, Oregon, Ohio State, Florida State, UCF, TCU, and more.

Coming out of Cass High School in the Class of 2026, McWhorter is listed as a four-star prospect by the 247Sports index and the nation’s 286th-ranked player. He also checks in as the 17th-ranked quarterback in his class and the 31st-ranked player in the state of Georgia.

“All Glory to God,” McWhorter wrote in a post. “There is nothing else like Morgantown and who wouldn’t want to play for Coach Brown? More than grateful for the WVU staff. Country Roads, take me home!!”

McWhorter spoke on his recruitment with 247Sports’ Chris Anderson and outlined what his addition means to West Virginia, saying, “They said they need me because I can be a difference maker who helps build the class early and bring championships to Morgantown.”

With his commitment, the Georgia native became the second addition to the Mountaineers Class of 2026, alongside linebacker Daiveon Taylor, which makes for an incredible start for Neal Brown and company.
