As decision day continues to grow closer for five-star tight end Linkon Cure, multiple experts in the recruiting industry have placed their picks for Kansas State to land the Kansas prospect.
Recruiting analysts from On3 and 247Sports have made 13 different predictions for Kansas State to land the talented pass catcher.
Coming out of Goodland High School, Cure is listed as a five-star prospect by the 247Sports index and the nation’s 26th-ranked player. He also checks in as the second-ranked player at his position and the second-ranked player in the state of Kansas.
Five experts on 247Sports, Steve Wiltfong, Allen Trieu, Mike Roach, Tom Loy, and Ryan Wallace, predicted that the Wildcats would land Cure, while eight experts from On3 did the same. K-State Online’s Derek Young was the first to log his prediction back on August 7, 2023, followed by Mason Voth, Chad Simmons, Sam Spiegelman, Bryan Munson, Drew Galloway, Josh McCuistion, and Steve Wiltfong.
Cure, a dynamic player in his class, took an official visit to Kansas State on June 21st. He spent time golfing, fishing, participating in photoshoots, and more with quarterback Avery Johnson, running back Dylan Edwards, head coach Chris Klieman, and co-offensive coordinator Matt Wells.
While the Wildcats will still have to beat out Oregon, Texas A&M, and Kansas to land Cure, the addition of the Kansas native would go down as the first five-star prospect under Chris Klieman and one of the top-ranked additions in program history.
