BYU and Colorado State Agree to Home-and-Home Football Series

Former Mountain West Conference opponents, BYU and Colorado State agreed to terms on a home-and home-series with its first matchup taking place in 2026 with the Rams set to host, per Robby McCombs.

The two programs will meet again in 2029 in Provo to close out the series.

BYU just completed its first season playing in the Big 12 Conference and went 5-7, missing a bowl game for the first time since 2017.

Though 69 total meetings, BYU leads the all time series 39-27-3, as Colorado State will be looking for its first win over the Cougars since 2003.

2010 was the last time these two schools faced off and BYU is currently on a seven-game win streak.

BYU’s head coach Kalani Sitake is entering his ninth season leading the Cougars and has strung together an overall record of 61-41, that includes six bowl game appearances.

Colorado State finished 2023 with a 5-7 record and will open up the 2024 season at Texas to take on the Longhorns on Saturday, Aug. 31 at 3:30 p.m. EST on ESPN.

On the other hand, BYU will take on the Southern Illinois Salukis in its season opener on that same day at 8 p.m. EST.
