Utah and UCLA Agree to Home-and-Home Series

NCAA Football: Southern Utah at Utah

The Utah Utes agreed to a home-and-home series with UCLA starting in 2025, according to ESPN’s Pete Thamel.

The first matchup of the series will take place on Aug. 30, 2025, at the Rose Bowl before the Bruins travel to Salt Lake City for the second game on Sep. 7, 2030.

Both teams left the Pac-12, with Utah heading to the Big 12 and UCLA starting its run in the Big 10.

Utah has scheduled Cal Poly and Wyoming as non-conference opponents in 2025 as well.

Despite starting quarterback Cam Rising missing all of the 2023 season with an injury, head coach Kyle Whittingham was still able to put together an 8-5 season that included victories over No. 18 USC, Florida, and Colorado.

These two teams also faced each other last season, with the Utes taking down the Bruins 14-7 on Sep. 23. However, UCLA leads the all-time series 12-9, even though the Utes have won six of the last seven matchups.

UCLA defeated Fresno State in the Starco Brands LA Bowl 35-22 to finish 2023 with an overall record of 8-5 as junior quarterback Ethan Garbers led the team, as he threw for 152 yards and two touchdowns.
