Fans who pre-ordered EA Sports College Football 25 got a chance to play the game for the first time on Monday afternoon as digital downloads of the game became available at 3:00 p.m. CT.
Less than 10 minutes after the game became available, the term “Lorem Ipsum” began trending on social media. Lorem ipsum, which is derived from Latin, is the error message that users are experiencing when they attempt to play dynasty mode in EA Sports College Football 25.Â
The term doesn’t really mean anything other than serving as place-holder text, typically meaning that a game or program is still in development.
EA servers also experienced some major issues.
Despite some issues associated with the release, the game is taking the world by storm, with hundreds of thousands of players worldwide picking up the controller for the first time in college football since 2014.
College Football 25 easily became one of the most anticipated video game games in history, with fans around the world chomping at the bit to gain access. With more than 500,000 active members online and participating in the game’s release, the servers could get a whole lot stickier with the game officially releasing a standard edition on Thursday, July 18th.
Until then, all we can do is wait and see what happens next.
