While college football fans worldwide view ESPN’s Paul Finebaum as the voice of the SEC, Ole Miss’ Lane Kiffin did not give Finebaum any special treatment at SEC Media Days in Dallas.
Kiffin joined the Paul Finebaum Show and recalled a memory of Finebaum’s comments on College GameDay, which he believes helped individuals at USC agree to move in a different direction than Kiffin.
“I appreciate you for helping get me fired,” Kiffin said. “Really, I don’t know what you’re good at. You predicted that Coach Saban was done; that didn’t happen. You basically said Miley Cyrus stinks, and she’s still going.”
