Look: CFB25 Patch Notes, What’s to Come in Future Updates

EA Sports College Football 25

On Tuesday morning, EA Sports surprised the College Football 25 community with a small update that will fix several issues that players have been experiencing since the game was released earlier this month.

In an announcement from one of the community managers, EA says it has distributed a “smaller title update’ on Tuesday morning that should fix a few problems.

“This morning, we distributed a smaller title update which is designed to address some issues that have been affecting your gameplay experience,” the message reads. “A larger title update will be coming in the near future which will receive a full Campus Huddle detailing all of the updates coming to each portion of the game.”

Tuesday, July 30th Update Notes

First, let’s focus on the first half of that statement. This patch that was released early this morning will fix four key issues that players have been facing:

  • Fixed Away team not being able to change offensive audibles in Online H2H
  • Reduced frequency of Roughing the Kicker from AI players on Field Goals
  • Fixed rare issue of the snap going behind the QB
  • Stability and Server Improvements

Personally, I’ve experienced two of the four issues here on multiple occasions, so these were clearly things that needed to be addressed as soon as possible. While the core concept of the game has been revolutionary, and the bones to an incredible experience are certainly there with CFB25, many users aren’t able to see past the plethora of bugs and glitches that the game is experiencing right now.

What to Expect in the Future Title Update

EA has been promising a large “title update” in the near future and, once again, brought that up with this morning’s patch. So, what kind of things should we expect to be fixed with that update?

Well, first of all, we should expect it to be a sizable update, as a “full Campus Huddle” would entail an incredible amount of detail, as the same features that we received before the game’s official launch were packed with all kinds of information.

While there’s been no official timeline set for when the update will drop, it’s reasonable to expect it before the college football season kicks off at the end of August, and perhaps sooner than that.

Some of the biggest issues that are expected to be addressed are:

  • Dynasty Simulation Logic
  • CFP Top 25 Logic
  • Defensive Bugs (i.e tackling, pursuit angles)
  • In-Game Commentary Issues
  • Conference Realignment Bugs in Dynasty
  • Other minor bugs, issues
