On Monday, Deion Sanders and the Colorado Buffaloes added a new name to the Class of 2025, flipping a four-star safety from Penn State.
Antonio Branch Jr., a four-star safety from Miami, elected to flip his commitment to Colorado after a weekend visit to Boulder.
Coming out of Northwestern High School in the Class of 2025, Branch is listed as a four-star prospect by the On3 Industry Ranking and the nation’s 388th-ranked prospect. He also checks in as the 37th-ranked player at his position and the 53rd-ranked player in the state of Florida.
“I would say it’s a good potential fit because he has an opportunity to start as a true freshman,” Branch’s mother told On3’s Steve Wiltfong. “Who wouldn’t want to be coached by Deion Sanders? Someone who played the same position Antonio is playing. Besides the football, the atmosphere, the mountains, oh my God, the view of that was gorgeous. The people there were wonderful. Nice and loving. It felt like family.”
With his commitment, Branch became the eighth addition to Colorado’s 2025 class, alongside four-stars Chauncey Gooden and Quanell X Farrakhan Jr. and three-stars Alex Graham, Mantrez Walker, Zayne DeSouza, Corbin Laisure, and Jay Gardenhire.
Deion Sanders and the Buffaloes take the field next on Saturday, September 28th, at 2:30 p.m. CT vs. UCF.
