UCF vs. Colorado Sees Significant Betting Line Movement

NCAA Football: Baylor at Colorado

One of the most intriguing games of the week in the Big 12 will be Colorado’s trip to Orlando to take on an undefeated UCF Knights.

Colorado is coming off an improbable overtime win against Baylor after Shedeur Sanders connected with LaJohntay Wester for a 43-yard Hail Mary to send the game into overtime. Then, Travis Hunter’s forced fumble in OT secured the victory for the Buffaloes, 38-31.

However, taking down UCF will be an entirely different challenge and even more difficult on the road, as the line would suggest.

According to WagerTalk, the Knights opened as an 11-point favorite on Sunday, but that number has moved to -14 in UCF’s favor as of Tuesday afternoon.

Interestingly, 78% of the bets that have been placed on the game have been in favor of Colorado, and just 22% of bets have landed with the Knights. So, with the line moving further in UCF’s favor, that means the big money, at least to this point, has been on the Knights.

From a football perspective, this appears to be an awful matchup for Deion Sanders’ group.

The Buffs haven’t been great against the run during Sanders’ tenure, and this weekend they’ll be facing the No. 1 rushing offense in the country. UCF averages a staggering 375.3 yards per game on the ground, and is doing so at a clip of 6.83 yards per carry.

That spells disaster for a defense giving up 4.02 yards per carry — especially when you consider the best rushing team they’ve faced is Colorado State (57th, 174.2 ypg).

Colorado and UCF are scheduled for a 2:30 p.m. CT kick on Saturday, with coverage provided by FOX. To learn more about the matchup, be sure to check out our preview on the game.
