On Friday, one team from the Big 12 got some good news in the form of a visit from a five-star basketball prospect in the Class of 2025.
According to a report from On3’s Jamie Shaw, Five-Star power forward Nate Ament is set to take an official visit to Manhattan, Kansas, to meet with Jerome Tang and the Kansas State Wildcats.
Coming out of Highland School in the Class of 2025, Ament is listed as a five-star prospect by the 247Sports index and the nation’s fourth-ranked prospect. He also checks in as the second-ranked player at his position and the top-ranked player in the state of Virginia.
Shaw’s report states that Ament has scheduled two new visits following his weekend trip to Texas. The two dates reported are October 19th at Tennessee and Feburary 11th at Kansas State. The visit destination puts Ament on campus in Manhattan for one of the biggest games of the year against the Arizona Wildcats.
With the news, Kansas State has now been in talks with three of the top five ranked players in the 2025 Class, with No. 1 AJ Dybantsa, No. 3 Darryn Peterson, and No. 4 Nate Ament. Dybantsa was the first of the trio to visit Manhattan on August 30th, followed by Peterson on September 27th.
While the Wildcats will still have to beat out numerous impressive programs to land Ament, the work that Jerome Tang and company have done in recruiting since landing in Manhattan has been nothing short of sensational.
