Following an interesting Week 5 slate in the 2024 college football season, the AP Poll dropped their picks for the Week 6 Top 25 on Sunday.
Four teams from the Big 12 were ranked, including No. 16 Iowa State, No. 17 BYU, No. 10 Utah, and No. 20 Kansas State.
Arizona (106), Oklahoma State (8), and Colorado (1) also received votes in the Preseason AP Poll.

While Utah, Kansas State, BYU, and Iowa State all remained in the poll, after a tough loss on Saturday morning, Oklahoma State dropped out of the AP Poll for the first time in 2024. The team wound up on the wrong side of a blowout in Manhattan, taking on Chris Klieman’s 23rd-ranked Wildcats. Thanks to a stellar performance from Avery Johnson and DJ Giddens, Kansas State remained inside the Top 25. The other major move of the week was the Utah Utes, who dropped eight places to No. 18 after losing at home to unranked Arizona (unofficial 26th-ranked team).
When looking at the Power 4 Conferences, the SEC leads all conferences with eight ranked teams; the Big Ten falls just behind with seven ranked teams, the Big 12 has four teams ranked in the Top 25, and the ACC comes in last with three.
