With the 2024 season off to a disastrous start for the Houston Cougars, the team lost a notable player in their 2025 recruiting class on Monday.
2025 three-star safety Jayden Bradley took to social media for the announcement, saying, “I Will be decommitting from the University of Houston!!! Recruitment 100% open.”
Coming out of Rock Hill High School in the Class of 2025, Bradley is listed as a three-star prospect by the 247Sports index and the nation’s 856th-ranked prospect. He also checks in as the 74th-ranked player at his position and the 133rd-ranked player in the state of Texas.
An impressive player in his class, Bradley received offers from 16 different programs, including Kansas State, California, Georgia Tech, Montana, Texas State, Virginia, Washington State, and more. His other official visit during the recruitment cycle was to Manhattan, Kansas, to visit Kansas State on June 21st.
Bradley was a dual sport athlete at Nansemond River in Virginia, prior to attending Rock Creek, where he played football and participated in track and field events. As a sophomore, Bradley ran an 11.48 100-meter dash, 23.23 200, and a 52.97 400. On the football field, the Virginia native posted 68 tackles, two interceptions, three pass breakups, and found the end zone three times as a receiver on the offensive side of the ball.
After starting off 1-4 with back-to-back shutout losses in conference play, Bradley elected to re-open his commitment and pursue other opportuntites.
