UCF football player Lee Hunter has officially called out one of his teammates, Bryon Threats, for entering the transfer portal.
Hunter posted the following on his Instagram story on Friday afternoon.
Threats just got to UCF after transferring from Cincinnati following the 2023 college football season. After spending three years at Cincinnati, Threats left his home state of Ohio and planned to spend his final season of eligibility in Orlando (Fla.). A key fixture in Cincinnati’s defensive backfield over the last few seasons, Threats was around for the Bearcats’ College Football Playoff run in 2021. In his final year with UC, Threats played in all 12 games, totaling 57 tackles with 3.0 TFLs, 1.0 sack, and two interceptions.
Threats has played sparingly this season for the Knights, with seven total tackles on the season. He had two tackles against New Hampshire, two vs. Sam Houston State and then three against Colorado last week.
UCF is off to a 3-1 start, and 1-1 in Big 12 play, after losing to Colorado last week at home.
With Threats transferring, that means he won’t play when UCF plays Florida in Week 6, and he will miss his former team, when UCF takes on Cincinnati in Week 7.
