Following a statement win on Friday night over No. 16 Utah, Arizona State head coach Kenny Dillingham dropped an incredible post-game quote.
Dillingham issued a unique challenge to those who bet Arizona State’s season over of 4.5 wins, which cashed in the Week 7 win.
“We were picked to win four games this year, so a lot of Sun Devil fans obviously picked the over in Vegas,” Dillingham said. “For those of you guys that won, put that money back into the collective. Right? Because you get to celebrate these wins, you get to have another cold one with your friends, you get to have great Saturday nights, that should be enough for y’all to take that money that you won and put it back into these kids and back into the collective. Let’s enjoy the rest of the year.”
After winning five of their first six games, Kenny Dillingham’s squad has already hit the over for their 2024 win total. The team notched wins against Wyoming, Mississippi State, Texas State, Kansas, and No. 16 Utah, with the lone loss on the season to first-place Texas Tech.
Led by another stellar performance from star running back Cam Skattebo, the Sun Devils rallied to a 27-19 win over their former Pac-12 foe. Skattebo posted 22 carries for 158 yards and two scores vs. Utah in one of the biggest games of the season for Arizona State and one of the biggest games of Kenny Dillingham’s career.
Arizona State will take the field in Week 8 against Cincinnati on the road on Saturday, October 19th, at 11:00 a.m. CT.
