After taking down Deion Sanders and the Colorado Buffaloes late on Saturday night, Kansas State celebrated the win by having some fun with their opponent.
As seen on Instagram Live from multiple team players, K-State soaked up the win by listening to Shedeur Sanders‘ song “Perfect Timing” in the locker room after the game.
In the video hosted by Kansas State quarterback TaQuan Roberson, players, including himself, Chiddi Obiazor, and Avery Johnson, can be seen throwing up the Shedeur Sanders wrist flash celebration and rapping the lyrics to the song.
The Wildcats aren’t the first team to taunt Colorado like that, as many post-game photos circulated in Year One of the Coach Prime era with opposing players following suit. As far as “Perfect Timing” goes, the song has been used as a popular meme in college football circles in moments like Kansas State’s win over their in-conference foe.
On the football field, Kansas State took care of business, limiting Colorado’s opportunities to strike. Chris Klieman’s squad outpaced the Buffaloes with 423 yards of total offense to Colorado’s 359, 22 first downs to Colorado’s 20, ten more total plays ran, and a commanding 35:00 to 25:00 edge in the time of possession battle.
With the win, Kansas State capitalized on their “Perfect Timing” moment, resulting in some viral clips at the expense of the Buffaloes.
