Watch: Brawl Breaks Out in Stands at Colorado vs. K-State Game

NCAA Football: Arizona at Colorado

While primarily scores are settled on the football field rather than in the bleachers, during Colorado’s 31-28 loss to Kansas State, a pair of fans from both teams got into it.

Allegedly stemming from a conversation between a K-State fan and a Colorado fan, punches were thrown by multiple people looking down on Folsom Field.

Not much is known about the incident, though many in the comment section shared similar experiences or memories from trips to Colorado.

On the football field, however, Kansas State won the fight vs. Colorado. Led by a career day from junior running back DJ Giddens, the 18th-ranked Wildcats made an impressive statement in a hostile road environment. The Kansas native was a large part of Kansas State’s success in the ground game and in the time-of-possession battle, as Giddens carried the rock 25 times for 182 yards.

Giddens became the first player to record 100 or more yards on the ground against Colorado this season, and his teammate Jayce Brown became the first 100-yard receiver. The win propelled Kansas State to 2-1 in conference play and dropped Colorado to the same.

While it’s not uncommon for fights to break out in football, the severity varies greatly. What happened in Boulder appeared to be awfully dangerous, but little is known about the outbreak.
