In Week 7, multiple upsets and close contests occurred in the Big 12 Conference. The largest upset of the week dropped Kyle Whittingham’s Utah Utes out of the AP Top 25 entirely with a loss to unranked Arizona State. The Utes returned their star quarterback Cam Rising, but after throwing three interceptions in the contest, Utah practically gave their Top 25 ranking away.
When looking at the Power 4 Conferences, the SEC leads all conferences with seven ranked teams; the Big Ten falls behind with five ranked teams. The ACC has four teams ranked in the Top 25, while the Big 12 trails with three.
