The Iowa State Cyclones have a schedule they hope propels them to a deep run in the NCAA Tournament under long-time head coach Bill Fennelly.
The Cyclones are coming off a season in which they reached the second round of the NCAA Tournament last year and go into the season as one of the top teams in the AP preseason Top 25.
It’s a challenging schedule. The Cyclones will play two games in the Elevance Health Women’s Fort Myers Tip-Off, one of which will be against defending national champion South Carolina. ISU will also play perennial power UConn in the Invesco QQQ Basketball Hall of Fame Women’s Showcase.
The schedule features 13 non-conference games and 18 Big 12 games. The conference opener starts on the road at Oklahoma State on Dec. 21 and ends at home against Kansas State on March 2.
The Big 12 Tournament will be held March 5-10 at T-Mobile Arena and all 16 teams will participate, with the top four teams in the final standings getting double byes and the teams that finished in fifth through eight place will get single byes. The winner will get the automatic bid in the NCAA Tournament.
Here is the entire schedule, with game times and television designations.
