The Kansas State Wildcats have put together a tough schedule for the 2024-25 season under long-time head coach Jeff Mittie.
The Wildcats are coming into this season after reaching the second round of the NCAA Tournament last March and returning just about every meaningful piece from last year’s team, with the exception of Gabby Gregory, who ran out of eligibility.
Mittie and the Wildcats went 26-8 last year, finishing third in the Big 12 standings.
K-State will make a quick trip to Henderson, Nev., for the Ball Dawgs Classic, which will feature a game against Duke and another against an unspecified opponent. The Wildcats will also head to St. Joseph, Mo., for a neutral site game with Middle Tennessee.
The schedule features 13 non-conference games and 18 Big 12 games. The league opener is set for Dec. 22 at Bramlage Coliseum against Cincinnati and the season finale is at Iowa State on March 2. The Jayhawks will get a week-long break after their home game against Baylor on Feb. 24.
The Big 12 Tournament will be held March 5-10 at T-Mobile Arena and all 16 teams will participate, with the top four teams in the final standings getting double byes and the teams that finished in fifth through eight place will get single byes.
