On Friday, 247Sports’ Carter Bahns released a list ranking every team in the Power Four from No. 1 to No. 67.
The 16 teams in the Big 12 Conference all earned placements in the Top 67 ahead of the worst Power Four team in the Country, No. 67 Purdue, and the best Power Four team in Bahns’ eyes, No. 1 Texas.
- Kansas – No. 64, ahead of Mississippi State, UCLA, and Purdue
- Baylor – No. 62, ahead of Florida State, Kansas, and Mississippi State
- TCU – No. 58, ahead of Stanford, NC State, and North Carolina
- Houston – No. 57, ahead of TCU, Stanford, and NC State
- Oklahoma State – No. 52, ahead of Auburn, Northwestern, and Maryland
- UCF – No. 49, ahead of California, Michigan State, and Oklahoma State
- Utah – No. 40, ahead of Rutgers, Boston College, and Georgia Tech
- Arizona – No. 39, ahead of Utah, Rutgers, and Boston College
- West Virginia – No. 38, ahead of Arizona, Utah, and Rutgers
- Cincinnati – No. 36, ahead of Virginia, West Virginia, and Arizona
- Colorado – No. 32, ahead of Minnesota, USC, and Wisconsin
- Arizona State – No. 26, ahead of Louisville, Syracuse, and Oklahoma

While the Big 12 is known for being one of the most unpredictable conferences in college football, the 2024 season has exceeded even those expectations. Three teams picked to finish top four in the Preseason Media poll rank outside the top half of Power Four teams, with Kansas State being the lone team to fit the criteria at No. 21.
Iowa State, BYU, Texas Tech, Arizona State, and Colorado all earned placements in the top half of Bahns’ list despite having an average Big 12 preseason finish prediction of 11.
Through six games, the Big 12 Conference has been a spectacle to watch, and with the race to Arlington heating up as the Calendar nears the November page turn, the product should get even more exciting.
