Iowa State vs. Texas Tech Kick Off Time, TV Channel Announced for Week 10

NCAA Football: Texas Tech at Iowa State

The Iowa State Cyclones and Texas Tech Red Raiders will meet in Week 10 of the college football season, and the Big 12 Conference has announced that the game will kick off at 3:30 p.m. ET/2:30 p.m. CT on ESPN.

Iowa State is fresh off a 38-35 comeback win over UCF on Saturday in Week 8 of the college football season. Cyclones quarterback Rocco Becht threw for 274 yards, with one touchdown and two interceptions. He also rushed for 97 yards and two touchdowns. Running back Carson Hansen rushed for 91 yards and two touchdowns. The Cyclones are tied with BYU for first place in the Big 12 at 4-0.

Last Saturday, Texas Tech lost to Baylor 59-35 in their Week 8 match up. Texas Tech came out flat in this game and never led, despite going up against an 0-3 Baylor team that was already, more or less, out of the Big 12 race. The Red Raiders gave up 529 yards against a Baylor team that had only averaged 346 yards per game in their first three Big 12 games. However, Texas Tech is only one game back at 3-1 in league play.

Iowa State has a bye week this week, while Texas Tech tries to get back on track on the road against the TCU Horned Frogs.

Iowa State vs. Texas Tech History

The two teams have met with regularity since the Big 12 Conference was formed and began play in 1996. Overall, Texas Tech leads 13-8 over Iowa State. Texas Tech won the first two meetings in 1967 and 1964, and then since Big 12 play, the Red Raiders have an 11-8 edge.

These two teams did not meet in 2023, but it’s the Red Raiders riding a two-game winning streak, winning close games, 41-38 in 2021, and 14-10 in 2022.

Prior to that, Iowa State ripped off five-straight wins in the series, as Matt Campbell beat Kliff Kingsbury three times, and Matt Wells twice, from 2016 to 2020.
