The Utah Utes have put together a difficult schedule for the 2024-25 season, its first campaign as a member of the Big 12 Conference.
Lynne Roberts is entering her 10th season at the helm of the Utes and she’s built a consistent winner. The Utes have ben to the WNIT three times and the NCAA tournament three times, all in the last three seasons. Utah is coming off 23-11 season in which they went to the second round of the NCAA Tournament.
Utah is also two seasons removed from a Pac-12 regular-season crown and an appearance in the NCAA Tournament’s Sweet 16.
In late November the Utes will get in a couple of games at the Cayman Island Classic, in Georgetown in the Grand Cayman Islands. It’s their only tournament of the non-conference slate.
Utah will open the Big 12 season at home on Dec. 21 againast Arizona State and end it at home against rival BYU on March 1.
The Big 12 Tournament will be held March 5-10 at T-Mobile Arena and all 16 teams will participate, with the top four teams in the final standings getting double byes and the teams that finished in fifth through eight place will get single byes.
