Cincinnati vs. Colorado Kick Off Time, TV Channel Announced

NCAA Football: Colorado at Arizona

The Colorado Buffaloes will host the Cincinnati Bearcats in Week 9 of the college football season. And after the Week 8 games wrapped up, it was announced on Saturday night that the game will kick off at 10:15 p.m. ET on ESPN on Saturday, October 26th.

The Buffs are coming off a dominant 34-7 win over Arizona on Saturday afternoon, while Cincinnati picked up an important win over Arizona State at home, 24-14.

These two teams have among the biggest surprises in the Big 12 so far this season, as both the Buffs and Bearcats carry identical 5-2 overall records. With both teams also carrying a 3-1 record in Big 12 play into this week, this game will help break a four-way tie for third place in the league standings.

Cincinnati vs. Colorado Football History

There’s not much history between these two programs, as they’ve met just once on the football field. That lone meeting came all the way back in 1972, when Cincinnati traveled to Boulder. The home team won big in that meeting, as the Buffs rolled 56-14.

There is a ton on the line for both of these teams this week, and it all starts with keeping pace in the Big 12 Championship race. Getting to 4-1 in Big 12 play would keep them, at worst, tied for third place in the league, but it also knocks a contender down a rung by handing them their second loss in Big 12 play. Additionally, the winner of this game will officially become bowl-eligible with a 6-2 overall record. Neither of these teams were projected to go bowling this season, so that by itself would mark a huge accomplishment for either team.

Cincinnati vs. Colorado is one of seven Big 12 games on the schedule for Week 9 of the season, with two teams, Iowa State and Arizona State, having their bye weeks.
