These two teams have been up and down through the first eight weeks of the 2024 season. West Virginia appeared to be rolling with a 2-0 start in Big 12 play but has dropped each of their last two games by double digits. Arizona, on the other hand, picked up its first Big 12 win a few weeks ago over Utah but has lost three games in a row, and each of the last two were by 20+ points.

West Virginia vs. Arizona Prediction

If Garrett Greene is unable to go in this game, it severely hinders West Virginia’s chances of picking up a win on the road — even if Arizona has vastly underwhelmed to this point in the year. The Wildcats have the offensive talent to score with just about anyone, but they haven’t been able to get out of their own way to this point. Since Greene wasn’t able to log a practice earlier in the week, I’m operating under the assumption that he’s going to miss this game.

With that, I’m going to take Arizona to win and cover in this game.

Prediction: Arizona 28, West Virginia 24
