On Friday morning, ESPN’s Paul Finebaum joined Get Up to discuss the impressive season for Deion Sanders and Colorado.
Finebaum raved about the team and didn’t mince words around the topic, calling the situation, “one of the most remarkable turnarounds of all time.”
“This is a dangerous game,” Finebaum said on Colorado’s matchup vs. Texas Tech. “Remember, last week this Tech team beat Iowa State, and playing at Lubbock is a challenge. I believe Colorado has come around though. They have so many outstanding players, and really, whatever happens this season, it has been one of the most remarkable turnarounds of all time, especially if they can find a way to get to the championship game in the Big 12.”
After some early struggles in the non-conference schedule, the Buffaloes have turned over a new leaf in conference play. The Buffaloes sit in third place in league play with a 4-1 record, trailing Iowa State and BYU. While the team needs some help to make their way to Arlington, in a league like the Big 12, anything is possible.
Finebaum finished his thoughts by mentioning the magnitude of Colorado reaching a Big 12 Championship Game, saying, “I think they can get to the championship game. I’m not sure right now they have enough to get past BYU, but I think if they did, Stephen A, we’re talking about one of the greatest, most significant and important college football stories of all time.”
Colorado returns to action on Saturday, November 8th, at 3:00 p.m. CT vs. Texas Tech in a massive game in Lubbock.
