While both Shedeur Sanders and Travis Hunter have been incredible this fall, only one athlete can hold up the trophy at the end of the season.

On Saturday, Sanders was asked which player deserved the honor, and he gave his official choice for the Heisman Trophy.

“Travis gets my vote,” Sanders said. “Travis is the best player in college football, truly. Shedeur is that guy. He’s the catalyst. He makes everything go, and he enables Travis to be Travis, but Travis Hunter is doing something we’ve never seen before.”

While Shedeur Sanders has been the nation’s best quarterback this fall, Travis Hunter has been the best all-around player in all of college football. The Georgia native has been electric on both sides of the ball as a receiver and as a defensive back. In 2024, Hunter has recorded 60 catches for 757 and eight scores while adding 20 total tackles, seven pass breakups, one forced fumble, and two interceptions.

The pair of teammates have been major contributors for the 21st-ranked Buffaloes, who find themselves thick in the race for Arlington. Colorado kicks off in a massive game in the Week 11 slate vs. Texas Tech on the road in Lubbock at 3:00 p.m. CT.
