The slate of Big 12 games in Week 12 has plenty of intrigue — but that’s nothing new for a league that’s broadened its scope of influence in a big way in 2024.
The conference race is coming down to the wire, and folks from all over the country will be tuned in to see what happens this weekend. One of the week’s biggest games is in Boulder, where Colorado (7-2) will host Utah (4-5) in a matchup between programs that have exchanged roles since the beginning of the year.
It was announced that FOX’s Big Noon Kickoff will be in town for the game, and with that announcement, the Big 12 has made history in 2024.
According to a Big 12 graphic, this will mark the fifth time in 2024 that a Big 12 campus will host FOX, making it the most visits that FOX has made to Big 12 country in league history.
It doesn’t take a genius, though, to see the correlation between where FOX has gone and who’s playing in those games.

Three of the five matchups have included Colorado, who’s one of the biggest storylines in the country this season, and that’s no coincidence.
Still, landing Deion Sanders and the Buffs was a massive feather in the cap for Brett Yormark and Co., and for that, the league deserves some credit, too.
