One of the biggest storylines of the Week 12 slate comes in a matchup between Kansas State and Arizona State regarding the health of a key player.
ASU’s star running back Cameron Skattebo was absent in the Sun Devils’ 35-31 win over UCF, and his status for Week 12 is up in the air.
“He’s questionable,” Kenny Dillingham said on Skattebo’s Week 12 status. “He’s going to try to practice.”
As noted by SunDevilSource’s Chris Karpman, Dillingham mentioned that the star back tried to convince him to let him play during the third quarter vs. UCF.
While Skattebo’s status for the matchup is likely out of his control, the matchup with Kansas State is without question Arizona State’s biggest remaining game of the season. The two teams enter the game with 4-2 records in conference play and 7-2 overall records. A loss likely ends the season for either program, while a win keeps the team thick in the title race.
The Sun Devils head to Manhattan as the severely more exhausted team as Kansas State enters the matchup at near full strength after a bye week. The Sun Devils have played back-to-back games against Oklahoma State and UCF, both key wins, as the team continues to impress in 2024.
Saturday’s matchup kicks off at 6:00 p.m. CT, in Manhattan, Kansas.
