Last week we witnessed one of the biggest moments in America’s political history as Donald Trump became just the second presidential candidate to be elected to serve non-consecutive terms in the oval office as the nation’s 47th president.
As Republicans the world over celebrated his victory, renditions of his signature dance took social media by storm. We saw Trump supporters from all walks of life share their version of the president’s “YMCA” dance, and many times over the weekend we saw the dance used as a touchdown celebration during football games.
One such rendition of the dance appears to have caught the eye of the commander-in-chief, as he used it in a post on Truth Social. The main character in this viral post? West Virginia quarterback Nicco Marchiol.
Marchiol made headlines with his version of the Trump YMCA dance after scoring a rushing touchdown against Cincinnati on Saturday.
The sophomore threw for another score as well, helping lead the Mountaineers to a 31-24 win and move to 5-4 (4-2 Big 12) on the year.
