On Saturday, NFL scouts across the league made their way to Boulder, Colorado, with haste in anticipation of seeing two of the top picks in the 2025 NFL Draft.
One of the biggest names to make the trip was New York Giants General Manager Joe Schoen, and with the Giants contending for the top pick in the upcoming draft, his attention was a big deal.
While Schoen got to see the Heisman favorite, Travis Hunter, up close, the main connection between the Giants and Colorado comes at the quarterback position. The New York Giants’ quarterback issues have been a major storyline since drafting Daniel Jones in the blank draft, and with the team sitting at 2-8 this fall, the Giants may take a look at the elder Sanders brother.
Sanders has been the best quarterback in college football so far this season, with 3,222 yards through the air and the 23rd-best QBR (quarterback rating) in the country at 75.2. He also boasts an impressive touchdown to interception ratio of 27-7.
On the other hand, Travis Hunter can’t be ruled out as the potential No. 1 overall pick. The Georgia native is the best player in football and continues to show his unreal athleticism, instincts, and ball skills on a week-to-week basis.
While it’s too early to determine which way Schoen may be leaning, the possibility of Hunter or Sanders sporting Giant Blue in the near future is not out of the question.
