As the conversation regarding Deion Sanders‘ future plans continued to spiral, on Tuesday, Sanders took a moment to mention his thoughts on the topic.
When asked about future job opportunities, Sanders resisted and jokingly called out the reporter for asking about that with his AD [Rick George] in the room.
“You gon talk like that with my AD in here?” Sanders asked. “That’s so disrespectful. You gon talk about me going somewhere with my AD in here? They mentioned us with a lot of other stuff before we were winning, too, didn’t they? That wasn’t fair, was it? There’s a price of everything.”
Deion Sanders’ name has popped up in just about every high-level coaching search this season after leading the red-hot Buffaloes to an incredible start. The list of opportunities mainly includes NFL openings like the Dallas Cowboys and collegiate opportunities at his alma mater, Florida State.
“I’m happy where I am, I’m good,” Sanders continued. “I got a kickstand down. You know what a kickstand is? A lot of people here are not of age to know what a kickstand is. That means I’m resting. I’m good. I’m happy, I’m excited, I’m enthusiastic about where I am. I love it here. Truly do.”
The Buffaloes have a massive game against another surging football team in Week 13, with a road game at Arrowhead Stadium vs. the Kansas Jayhawks. That game kicks off on Saturday, November 23rd, at 2:30 p.m. CT.
