While it shouldn’t come as much of a surprise, one NFL executive believes Colorado’s duo of Shedeur Sanders and Travis Hunter will be the top two picks in the upcoming NFL Draft.
The anonymous executive attended Colorado’s final game of the regular season vs. Oklahoma State and noted, “Not only are they both going top five in the draft, but I believe they’re going 1-2, back-to-back.”
Sanders has quickly risen to the top of the 2025 NFL Draft class as the premiere quarterback in the country. His teammate, Travis Hunter, is currently having one of the best seasons in college football history on both sides of the ball. Hunter entered the final week of the Big 12 regular season as the clear-cut Heisman favorite over Boise State’s Ashton Jeanty.
On Friday morning, the Cowboys capped off the season with a 9-3 record and a 7-2 record in conference play. They bounced back from a loss to Kansas with a 52-0 blowout win over Oklahoma State at home, a game in which Travis Hunter found the end zone twice and Shedeur Sanders threw for 438 and five scores.
Colorado now eagerly awaits the results of Saturday’s games, with BYU, Iowa State, and Arizona State all fighting for a spot in Arlington.
