Saturday was the final day of the 2024 college football regular season, and it certainly lived up to the billing of “Rivalry Week”.
There were several brawls that broke out after the games wrapped up. Here’s a look at all of them.
Ohio State vs. Michigan
Michigan pulled off a huge 13-10 upset over Ohio State on Saturday in Week 14 of the college football season. Unfortunately, one of the great rivalries in college football was overshadowed by what took place after the game.
Michigan attempted to plan their flag at midfield following their upset in Ohio Stadium, which led to the fireworks in the postgame.
North Carolina vs. NC State
NC State went on to beat North Carolina 35-30 on Saturday afternoon, and it was the Wolfpack who attempted a flag plant of their own.
That flag was then thrown to the sideline, which sparked the brawl between the two in-state rivals.
Arizona State vs. Arizona
The flag plant after Arizona State smoked Arizona was not nearly as big of a spectacle as what we saw in the previous two, but there was another flag plant that led to a scuffle in Tucson.
Alabama vs. Auburn
There was a mid-game scuffle between Alabama and Auburn. The Crimson Tide would go on to beat the Tigers 28-24.
Here’s what happened during the game, which spilled over to the postgame.
And then after the game.
Missouri vs. Arkansas
After Missouri beat Arkansas 28-21 in a snowy Columbia, Missouri on Saturday, there was a post-game scuffle between the two teams as well.
Needless to say, Rivalry Week seemed to live up to its billing across the college football landscape during Week 14 of the season.
Florida vs. Florida State
Florida blasted Florida State 31-11 on Saturday, and ended up planting their own flag at FSU’s midfield. And guess what happened? Yep, another brawl!
