In an interesting situation that took place on Friday morning, Kansas running back Sevion Morrison elected to enter the transfer portal.
His post on Instagram brought out loads of former players, including senior cornerback Cobee Bryant, who left a thought-provoking comment on the graphic.
Bryant responded to the post with a comment that read like a shot at Kansas’ football program, saying, “Best decision you made ever.”
While Bryant’s words could be implying that coming to Kansas in 2022 was the best decision for Morrison to make, the statement alarmed many in the Kansas fanbase, with one of their top players going after the program.
Bryant is no stranger to causing controversy online, as he elected to troll both BYU and Colorado on TikTok after the Jayhawks pulled off the upsets. In the season finale, however, it was the Baylor Bears who got the last laugh, calling out Bryant on the platform.
While Bryant is out of eligibility and will head to the NFL Draft in a few months, his words about the program still carry weight. As one of the instrumental pieces in Lance Leipold’s turnaround at Kansas, Bryant is one that will be remembered by Jayhawks fans for years to come.
Were his words a shot at the program? Only time will tell, as this will likely not be the last update to the story.
