On Sunday, Chris Klieman and the Kansas State Wildcats lost another solid contributor to the transfer portal.
That player is senior offensive lineman Carver Willis, who started 18 games in his two-year career with the program.
Willis spent the past five seasons in Manhattan after committing to the program in 2020. He was one of nine true freshmen to see action that year and developed his way from a reserve lineman to an All-Big 12 Honorable Mention.
Coming out of Durango High School in the Class of 2020, Willis was listed as a three-star prospect by the 247Sports index and the nation’s 995th-ranked player. He also checked in as the 82nd-ranked player at his position and the eighth-ranked player in the state of Colorado. He chose the Wildcats over offers from Colorado State, New Mexico State, Wyoming, and Northern Colorado.
With his entrance to the transfer portal, the Wildcats departure total climbs to eight. Willis joins Terry Kirksey, Tre Spivey, Darell Jones, Ta’Quan Roberson, Justin Wolf, Kam Sallis, and Jordan Dunbar.
