On Monday afternoon, Mike Gundy and the Oklahoma State Cowboys lost their top receiver from the previous season to the transfer portal.
That player is junior wide receiver De’Zhaun Stribling, who led the team in receiving yards as the team’s most productive wideout.
“First and foremost, I want to thank God for continuing to bless me as I pursue my childhood dreams,” Stribling said. “To my Oklahoma State coaches, teammates, and fans, the unforgettable experiences and the opportunities I’ve had here will never be forgotten. The relationships I’ve built and the lessons I’ve learned during my time at OSU will always hold a special place in my heart.”
In 2024, Stribling led the team with 882 yards on 52 catches. He also recorded six scores this fall, bringing his career total to 17 in four years of football. Stribling started his career at Washington State, where he remained for two seasons before departing for Stillwater.
Stribling finished by saying, “After careful consideration and discussions with my family, I’ve decided to enter the portal as a graduate transfer. This decision wasn’t easy, but I believe it’s the best step for my personal growth, athletic development, and academic goals.”
With his decision to enter the portal, the Cowboys have now seen a total of seven players depart the program this offseason.
