With the 2024 college football season now in the books, experts from CBS Sports released their official selections for the 2024 CBS Sports / 2457Sports All-America team.

Although some outlets would have you believe that the Big 12 doesn’t play the same level of football as leagues like the Big Ten and SEC, the Heartland Conference more than held its own in the selection process.

With six first-teamers, the Big 12 is tied with both the Big Ten and SEC for the most selections of any conference.

The league had three selections on offense, one on defense, and two on special teams.

Here’s a look at each of the teams, with Big 12 selections in bold.

The Big 12 had three second-team selections overall, with Colorado wide receiver Travis Hunter, Utah offensive lineman Spencer Fano, and Baylor punt returner Josh Cameron all making the cut.

Seven players were named honorable mentions after receiving several votes but barely missing the list, with Colorado quarterback Shedeur Sanders being the first player on that list.

Colorado was one of four teams with two first-team selections, and one of five teams with three overall selections between the first and second teams.

The Big Ten has the most overall selections (15), edging out the SEC (12), while the Big 12 is tied for third with nine overall selections.
