The Kansas Jayhawks are gearing up to bounce back in 2025, and KU is already working hard on the recruiting trail. On Sunday, the Jayhawks landed Alabama cornerback Jahlil Hurley.
The Alabama transfer is a former top-100 recruit who has three seasons of playing eligibility remaining. He is fresh off his official visit to KU, which he took on Saturday.
Hurley played sparingly during his time at Alabama. He ended up redshirting during the 2023 college football season. As a redshirt freshman this past season, Hurley played in three games on defense. He totaled 61 snaps per Pro Football Focus.
Coming out of high school, the 6-foot-2 cornerback was rated as a four-star recruit. He was the No. 80-ranked prospect in the 2023 class per 247Sports. He was the No. 6-ranked cornerback and the No. 9-ranked prospect in Alabama in his class.
As a transfer, Hurley is rated as a three-star prospect. He is the No. 133 player in the portal and the No. 16 cornerback in the portal, per 247. Kansas also recently added Ball State wide receiver Cam Pickett on Sunday.
Kansas’ 2025 transfer portal class now ranks No. 4 in the Big 12 Conference, behind Texas Tech, Houston and Iowa State, according to 247Sports.
