On Monday, Scott Satterfield and the Cincinnati Bearcats picked up a key commitment through the transfer portal with the addition of Texas A&M wide receiver Cyrus Allen.
Allen, a 6-foot receiver from New Orleans, Louisiana, spent the first two years of his career at Louisiana Tech, where he developed into an impressive talent.
In the first two years of his collegiate career, Allen posted 68 grabs for 1,278 yards and eight scores. After two productive years at Louisiana Tech, the Louisiana native elected to transfer to Texas A&M, where he recorded 18 grabs for 269 yards and a score.
Coming out of Landry-Walker High School in the Class of 2021, Allen was listed as a three-star prospect by the 247Sports index and the nation’s 937th-ranked prospect. He also checked in as the 137th-ranked player in his class and the 30th-ranked player in the state of Louisiana.
With the addition of Cyrus Allen, the Bearcats now feature five different athletes brought in from the transfer portal this offseason. The group includes Allen, Old Dominion’s Jaylen White-McClain, Coastal Carolina’s Matthew McDoom, Colorado State’s Caleb Goodie, and Ball State’s Taran Tyo.
The addition marks the first Power Four addition for Cincinnati in this cycle, and in 2024, the team landed a total of nine Power Four transfers.
