If this were a prediction of what each team will be next season, I’d lean heavily toward Texas Tech, as what they’ve done in the transfer portal is incredibly impressive. However, this game is a tricky one to predict, considering what the Red Raiders will have at their disposal. This will be their first game without Zach Kittley calling the offense, and there’s no guarantee on how things will look. Also, Texas Tech QB Behren Morton underwent surgery, so the Red Raiders are turning to former 4-star recruit Will Hammond. The best player on the field will be TTU running back Tahj Brooks, who is “50/50” to play, according to Joey McGuire, but the oddsmakers expect him to play, based on how the line has moved towards Texas Tech. But the question in this game is really going to be how the Red Raiders’ defense holds up against Arkansas’ offensive attack. While I’m not very confident in the pick, give me Texas Tech to pull off a close win against an Arkansas team that is depleted in the trenches due to the transfer portal and opt-outs.
