Following a tough loss to Arkansas in the Liberty Bowl, one athlete from Texas Tech called out a dirty play made by his opponent.
That player was senior defensive back C.J. Baskerville, who shared a video on social media of an Arkansas defender stepping directly on his ankle.
“There’s no denying that Arkansas played a great game last night,” Baskerville said. “I am not taking that away from them. But #55 Fernando Carmona blatantly stepping on my ankle and pressing down on it on purpose is straight-up dirty. He proceeds to say, “Got your b**** a***.” Do better, Arkansas.”
The video shows Carmona purposely stepping on Baskerville’s ankle, which caused a stir on social media.
Baskerville was one of Texas Tech’s best players in 2024, totaling 78 tackles and four interceptions.
