The quarterfinal round of the College Football Playoff is set to get underway on Tuesday night as No. 3 Boise State and No. 6 Penn State kick things off in the Vrbo Fiesta Bowl.
The current get-in price for tonight’s game is only $40, according to The Athletic’s Stewart Mandel, but that’s not even the cheapest game of the four CFP matchups set for Tuesday and Wednesday.
In fact, it is the second-most expensive get-in price of the bunch.
The Rose Bowl matchup between No. 1 Oregon and No. 8 Ohio State is currently the most expensive ticket, with $170 being the cheapest seat in the house. Next is the Fiesta ($40), followed by the Sugar Bowl, which is just $33 for the cheapest ticket.
The Peach Bowl matchup between Texas and Arizona State, however, is on an entirely different level. You won’t even have to give up a twenty-dollar bill to get into Mercedes-Benz Stadium to watch the Longhorns and Sun Devils, as the cheapest ticket to get in is just $16.
As Arizona State beat writer Chris Karpman reported on Tuesday morning, the Peach Bowl is officially sold out, but being sold out doesn’t necessarily mean it will be a packed house.
“Peach Bowl officials say the game is sold out for the 24th time in 26 years,” Karpman wrote on X. “It’ll be interesting to see how full the stadium is tomorrow. Capacity in normal configuration for football is 71,000. Each team has an allotment of around 13,000 seats.”
Sam Leavitt and the Sun Devils are set to take on Quinn Ewers and the Longhorns on Wednesday, January 1, at 12:00 p.m. CT. Texas is currently favored by 13 points.
