On Sunday, Rich Rodriguez and the West Virginia Mountaineers added a new name in the Class of 2026 with the commitment of three-star wide receiver Jeffar Jean-Noel.
Jean-Noel, a 5-foot-10 wideout from Plantation, Florida, chose the Mountaineers after receiving an offer on September 25th, 2024.
Coming out of American Heritage High School in the Class of 2026, Jean-Noel is listed as a three-star prospect by the On3 index and the nation’s 834th-ranked player. He also checks in as the 136th-ranked player at his position and the 100th-ranked player in the state of Florida.
An impressive player in his class, Jean-Noel has received offers from a total of 16 different programs, including Michigan, UCF, Kentucky, Miami, NC State, Pittsburgh, UCLA, and more.
While the Florida native appears to remain underrated relative to the rest of his class, offers from programs like Washington, Miami, and Michigan were all sent his way in the month of January. His ability and upside should lead to some jumps in overall rankings across just about every major recruiting service.
With his commitment, Jean-Noel became the second player in his class to commit to West Virginia, joining three-star tight end Sam Hamilton.
