After Arizona State’s loss on Saturday to the TCU Horned Frogs, head coach Bobby Hurley spoke about the growing internal frustration from his roster.
Hurley mentioned that his players didn’t even want to talk with him after the game as the disappointment and anger from losing continues to rise to the top.
“My players didn’t even want me to talk to them after the game,” Hurley said. “‘What do you want me to say?’ are some of the comments that I got from my own players.”
With the four-point loss to TCU, the Sun Devils have now lost their last five games. Each loss came with a different start and a similar end, however, as Arizona State failed to take care of business in crunch time against No. 13 Arizona, Kansas State, Oklahoma State, No. 12 Texas Tech, and now TCU.
“I think they’re fairly frustrated,” Hurley continued. “We haven’t been able to close these games out and are finding new ways each game to get a win. I think we’re all at premium frustration level at this point.”
The road ahead for Bobby Hurley’s group doesn’t get any easier, though, as the Sun Devils take on No. 6 Houston, Kansas State, BYU, No. 13 Arizona, and No. 12 Texas Tech in five of their last six games.
