While the 2025 NBA Draft is still many months away, the upcoming big board for teams at the next level continues to take shape.
Arizona freshman Carter Bryant, a player whose stock has continued to climb in recent weeks, has established himself as a promising talent in the Big 12 Conference this season.
“Carter Bryant exited high school as one of the more talented prospects in the class but was one we expected would need time before heading off to the NBA,” 247Sports’ Travis Branham said. “Bryant was still figuring out who he was as a player with a confidence that wavered with each game. That was evident early in the season, but as Trey Townsend has played his way into a lesser role with the Wildcats, Tommy Lloyd and Arizona have called upon Bryant more and more, and he is answering.”
In 2024-25, Bryant is averaging 6.3 points, 3.9 rebounds, and 1.2 assists per game. The largest selling point, perhaps, is his ability to connect on shots from deep, as the California native has turned over a new leaf in recent weeks, connecting on nearly 39% of his three-point attempts in conference play.
“Bryant looks much more comfortable in his more defined role as a perimeter shooter,” Branham continued. “He’s also gaining confidence in attacking the glass and showcasing other aspects of his game, such as his passing. With Bryant’s 6-foot-8, 220-pound frame and polished jumper, there’s a lot to like in how he can translate at the next level. He’s becoming a more critical X-factor for Arizona, and with March around the corner, he could take his stock to another level by helping the Wildcats go on a tournament run.”
Branham finished his evaluation with a projection for Bryant, saying, “For the NBA Draft, Bryant is rising from the 20s and into the teens with his June projection.”
