Houston enters this game after a 73-64 win over Cincinnati on Saturday, a victory that also gave the Cougars their second consecutive Big 12 regular-season title since entering the league. The Coogs have now won 17 of their last 18 games and have won eight in a row since their overtime loss to Texas Tech.

Houston vs. Kansas Predictions
Since the turn of the century, and even before that, the Kansas Jayhawks were seen as the Big 12 gatekeeper. If you were going to win a league title, you would have to go through the team in Lawrence to get it done.
Houston has been in the Big 12 for two seasons now, and from the beginning of their stint in the league, the Coogs have proven to be a cut above the rest—including the Jayhawks. Through 29 games, Houston has one loss in regulation, and it was a five-point loss to No. 1 Auburn in their second game of the season.
Kelvin Sampson’s group has only gotten better in the months since then, and quite frankly, the Coogs and Jayhawks have been headed on opposite trajectories since their clash in late January. That game was competitive, and it needed overtime to decide a winner in Lawrence.
That won’t be the case this time around, as Houston is playing some of its best basketball down the stretch, while Kansas continues to be one of the most inconsistent teams in the country. Houston wins and covers the number to make it a double-digit margin.
