Big 12 Program Set to Host Former Texas Tech WR Micah Hudson

Micah Hudson - Texas Tech Athletics

One of the biggest storylines from the first day of the 2025 spring transfer portal window was what would happen with former Texas Tech wideout Micah Hudson.

While it seemed as if his likeliest destination would be a return to Lubbock, after 247Sports’ reports from Wednesday afternoon, it sounds like that would actually be quite surprising.

However, a return to the Big 12 is not out of the question, and according to Matt Zenitz, he’s set to visit a program in the conference over the next couple of days.

On Thursday morning, Zenitz reported that Hudson will make the trip to Salt Lake City to visit with Kyle Whittingham and the Utah Utes.

With Devon Dampier now calling the shots at quarterback, Utah’s offense is bound to be way more explosive than it was a season ago.

If they somehow found a way to land a talent like Hudson, it would take their offensive ceiling to an entirely different level.

Combine an explosive offense with the typical defensive units that we see in Utah, and you’ve got a legitimate Big 12 title contender.

Whether the two parties will find common ground is anyone’s guess, but if it does work out, it might be the biggest transfer news for the conference this cycle.
