With two impressive quarterbacks fighting for the starting job at Colorado in 2025, Deion Sanders provided a detailed update about the situation.
Liberty transfer Kaidon Salter enters as the experienced veteran, while freshman signal caller Julian Lewis is expected to make a push for the crown.
“Totally different,” Sanders said about his quarterbacks. “They can play man, but they approach the game totally different. But we got to be better and coaching to their strengths, we got to be better to put them in the right situations for success, but those guys can play.”
In addition to talking up the pair, Sanders silenced rumors of Lewis redshirting as a freshman, calling out a reporter in the process.
“Who did you hear say that? Who? Who? Who?” Sanders asked. “Who is Nick Evans? Who? Who? Self-explanatory. Nobody said that, man. Nobody said that.”
Salter heads to Boulder with more than 5,800 passing yards in his career and 56 touchdowns through the air. Lewis, a highly-touted prospect in the Class of 2025, checks in as one of the nation’s elite quarterback prospects.
Colorado kicks off their season on Friday, August 29th, against Georgia Tech.
