Former Oklahoma State star wide receiver Justin Blackmon has been making headlines a lot in recent weeks.
Last month, it was announced that Blackmon would be inducted into the Oklahoma State Football Ring of Honor on November 15, when the Pokes host Kansas State.
Then, over the weekend, Blackmon was arrested for public intoxication, bringing his history of off-the-field issues back to the forefront.
A mug shot with arrest details for a man named Justin Carl Blackmon surfaced on social media on Easter Sunday. It stated that Blackmon was arrested for public intoxication, and then his mugshot (seen below) went viral.
An embarrassing detail about the arrest has now surfaced, after a TMZ report suggested that Blackmon could not fit in the car.
Former college football star Justin Blackmon couldn’t fit in the back of a cop car during his public intoxication arrest … with a police report obtained by TMZ Sports stating a larger vehicle was required to transport him to jail.
Blackmon played for Oklahoma State from 2009-2011 and caught 253 passes for 3,464 yards and 40 touchdowns. He was a two-time unanimous All-American and won the Biletnikoff Award in 2010 and 2011.
In 2012, the Jacksonville Jaguars selected Blackmon No. 5 overall in the draft, but he has not played in the NFL since 2013. Before the 2014 season, Blackmon was arrested for possession of marijuana. He was arrested again in December 2015 for DUI and was sentenced to one year in jail in August 2016. The sentence was suspended pending the completion of one year of probation.
