BYU has landed a significant addition to its 2026 recruiting class with the commitment of four-star offensive lineman Bott Mulitalo.
Mulitalo is listed as a 6-foot-4, 275-pound prospect from Lone Peak High School in Highland, Utah. According to 247Sports, he is ranked as the nation’s No. 90 overall player, the No. 8 offensive tackle, and the No. 3 recruit in Utah for the 2026 class.
Mulitalo initially committed to Oregon in December 2024, but reopened his recruitment last month after deciding to make the switch to offensive tackle. The position change attracted renewed interest from several programs, with BYU emerging as a top contender.
Mulitalo received offers from numerous Power Four programs, including USC, Tennessee, Auburn, Arizona State, Washington, Texas A&M, Michigan State, and Nebraska. ​
The Cougars’ 2026 recruiting class now includes two top-100 prospects, with Mulitalo joining four-star tight end Brock Harris. The Cougars’ class is shaping up to be one of the strongest in recent memory, currently ranked 33rd nationally by 247Sports. ​
Mulitalo’s versatility and athleticism make him a valuable asset for BYU’s offensive line, and should help keep the program moving in the right direction after an 11-win season in 2024.
